Standard Terms and Conditions

All transactions between Prompt Roofing and the Client are subject to the following terms and conditions:

1. All quotes are valid for a period of 90 days only.
2. Payment Terms:
   • Quotes are accepted only once the required deposit is received and reflected, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
   • Standard projects: 50% deposit on acceptance of the quote (please email proof of payment to orders@promptroofing.co.za), and 50% on completion.
   • Projects over R50,000: a 25% progress payment is required at 50% completion (i.e., 50% deposit + 25% progress + 25% on completion), unless stated otherwise in the quote.
   • Projects under R12,500 must be paid in full before work begins.
   • RSA ID or Passport number is required before a start date is confirmed.
3. The final balance is payable on completion. Failure to pay within 7 days may result in legal action and recovery costs, including attorney-and-client costs where applicable.
4. Guarantees are only issued after full payment and post-project inspection appointment.
5. A 10% cancellation fee applies to accepted quotes (online or signed).
6. Unhindered access to the site must be provided until work completion.
7. Clients must remove all items, furniture, vehicles etc. Prompt Roofing is not liable for any damage during works.
8. Prompt Roofing is not liable for any damage due to weather during roof work despite best precautions.
9. Quotes include only stated items. Unforeseen/hidden issues will be quoted separately after your approval.
10. If the quote is partially accepted, the guarantee may be adjusted to reflect the accepted scope.
11. Prompt Roofing will not be held responsible for breakage of skylight glass.
12. Not liable for damage to TV, satellite, electrical or plumbing lines encountered during work.
13. Not liable for omissions or errors in the submitted quotation or accepted quote.
14. Unspecified areas in the quote are excluded from the contract scope.
15. Amendments/additions to quotes are only valid once agreed upon in writing or accepted online.
16. All building or repair materials remain Prompt Roofing’s property until final invoice is paid.
17. Where legal action is required to recover outstanding amounts, the Client will be liable for all reasonable collection and legal costs incurred.
18. Guarantees exclude damage due to poor maintenance like uncleaned gutters or blocked downpipes.
19. Guarantees exclude damages from force majeure (hail, wind, storms) and are void if other parties alter the treated area without prior written consent from Prompt Roofing.

Liabilities and Indemnities

The Client indemnifies Prompt Roofing against losses or claims arising from site conditions, third-party actions, or events outside of Prompt Roofing’s reasonable control during execution of the contracted work.

Our guarantee covers leaks caused by our workmanship or products in the treated areas only. It excludes storm or hail damage, blocked gutters, inadequate maintenance, or failures outside of the treated scope.

Any dissatisfaction with completed work must be submitted in writing to orders@promptroofing.co.za within 7 days. We will address and rectify issues promptly.
